Quality and Food Safety policy
Bodegas Ruiz Torres is a family winery founded in 1870 in Cañamero (Cáceres), and currently run by the third generation. We combine tradition and innovation in the production of quality wines, with modern facilities and we export our wines to several countries. We also offer wine tourism experiences to learn about our processes and taste our wines.
As part of our commitment to the Quality and Food Safety of our products, the Management of Bodegas Ruiz Torres has decided to implement a Quality and Food Safety Management System in accordance with the IFS Standard. To this end, responsibilities have been defined and the necessary means, resources and investment have been provided.
Not only do we strive to obtain the full satisfaction of our customers through strict compliance with their requirements, legal requirements, quality, food safety and authenticity, but also the continuous improvement in the performance of our processes in order to exceed these expectations and be able to position ourselves in a leading position in the wine sector.
Confident of being able to provide quality and safe products, Bodegas Ruiz Torres establishes the following maxims to be fulfilled within the company:
- To meet the requirements, needs and expectations to fully satisfy our customers so that we maintain confidence in our company and products.
- Commitment to improvement withimprovement, ensuring the permanent adaptation to the operational reality of the company and the guarantee of product safety. As well as the constant improvement of the effectiveness of our procedures in order to achieve greater competitiveness, profitability and market presence.

- To transmit to the relevant interested parties the issues related to the safety of our products.
- To grow and develop as a sustainable company, committing ourselves to improving our environmental impact on the environment around us.
- To establish and periodically review proposed objectives and targets in accordance with the commitments made in this declaration, which will require the support of the management team and employees.
- To comply with hygiene standards, to ensure the quality, legality, safety and innocuousness of the products produced and marketed in accordance with the relevant regulations.
- To ensure that all personnel receive training appropriate to the requirements of their position and which allows them to carry out their responsibilities correctly, endeavouring to create and promote a culture of food safety throughout the organisation.
- To demonstrate compliance with applicable legal requirements in each of our activities, products and services.
- To ensure the conformity of our products with the declared Food Safety and Quality Policy and to demonstrate such conformity to interested parties.
- To communicate this Policy to all employees and interested parties who request it.
This Policy provides the reference framework for setting annual objectives and is regularly reviewed to adapt it to the reality of Bodegas Ruiz Torres, being understood and applied at all levels of the organisation and having the commitment and support of the Management of Bodegas Ruiz Torres.
